Open Studio Bombing

Over the summer during school I had one of the eight studies in this room you had to have a key to get in. I occupied the only one being used in that room. So we decided to bomb all the other open studies. We had one study completely filled with graffiti. I dont know why, but I dont have a picture of the other wall in this studio. Unfortunately the studios that were full of graffiti were deemed "unworkable environments." So the school painted over all of this. We still have proof that this exsisted at one point in time though! Enjoy.

Reappropriating Unused Street Signs

What do you do when you see a street sign unattended in a parking lot with lots of others just like it. You take them of course! Well why would someone do this you ask? So you can do cool art stuff on them.

This one is going to my little brothers girlfriend. This is the condition its in now.

T-Shirt Design

The Womens Club Soccer Team asked me to design a t-shirt for them. They are using them to wear at practice and selling them to fans as a fundraiser. The picture is whats going on the back of the shirt. They liked the design so much they want me to design something for the front. So that will be all finished before the season starts.

This is the back.

Wall Completed

So I finished my wall in Vance Carlson's house. Along with my small mural we have some other collaborative pieces thrown up on the other walls. There lookin pretty good. But only one is really finished.

Creative Coldsnow in Westport is awesome!

I went to Creative Coldsnow today to pick up some supplies that I needed. Not only did they have a huge Sale, but I found something pretty awesome. Got some brush cleaner. Picked up some Dr. Ph. Martin's Synchromatic TRANSPARENT Water Color. But the most intriguing buy today was a leather art carrier that cost me $6.99. It looks like an ordinary paper holder, but looks can be deceiving. It also acts as a dual spray paint can holder. It can fit 5 cans of Montana spray paint. Or really any kind of spray paint. Pretty sweet find in my book. So all you graffiti kids out there like me. We can now look a little less suspicious.

Now I can bike around town with my buddy and we can just spray real easy.

Here is the Dr. Ph. Martin's Synchromatic TRANSPARENT Water Color.

This is the greatest find of the day.

I only have 3 cans in it right now, but it can hold up to 5 cans. Plus tips.

Collaborative Show @ Moundview a.k.a John Martin's House

We had a show on July 28th that we curated ourselves at a friends house. Thank you John Martin for that. We had about 6-10 artist submit work and it was a great show. We had live poetry and all the walls lined with artwork. Sorry for some blurry photos. I dont know what happened. I wasnt always the one taking the shots of the show. Other than that enjoy.

Barn Project

So another buddy says I can one up your friends wall. This is what we had to work with.

I am really sun burn from painting on this!

So Charlie Naramore, Kristin, and I got to work on painting the base. It's Behr Exterior Ultra Pure White Paint and Primer house paint.

Montana Black spray paint. Black, White, and Red.

We used Interior/Exterior Black house paint.

Behr Red Geranium Exterior house paint to match the Montana spray.

This is the condition we left it in for the time being. We tried some experimental shading and parts of the piece are nice. Other parts get too muddy. We'll have to see what we can do to correct some of the muddiness without having to repaint to much. Hopefully next week we can finish it.
